Phantom Thread

As the name suggests it’s one of the most beautifully haunting movies you will ever see. It’s taken I think 4 watches to realize that it is romantic horror movie.  I will always admire Johnny Greenwood’s score, Daniel Day-Lewis’s performance, and Paul Thomas Anderson’s direction and camerawork.  This movie is really the perfect movie to end an actor like DDL’s career. It feels as meticulous as DDL has been throughout his whole career.  Another one of those movies where I completely get it if someone doesn’t like it. I guess it’s because PTA does romance movies a little differently than everyone else.
