Like Crazy
"Didn't know, don't knowabout the in-between bits;the gory bits of youand the gory bits of me."
Without "Like Crazy", I wouldn't be me.
Without debating whether I should rent it on iTunes or not in my sophomore year of High School, I never would have stumbled upon a movie reviewing site called Pretty Much It, a YouTube channel that came with new friends and eventually this website.Without this movie, I never would've fallen in love with Felicity Jones, my favorite actress who I have followed ever since.Without the end credits, I wouldn't know the band "Stars" which is now my absolute favorite band which has cemented so many of my perceptions.Without this movie, I wouldn't have Dustin O'Halloran's score which has been in the background of so many of my decisions and memories.Without this movie, I wouldn't have the romanticized vision of California that I do, or of love in general.
No other movie affects me emotionally like this one does. It's in my soul. And as dramatic as that is, it's so very important. Regardless of any objective standards, which this passes anyway, this movie understands what it feels like to love and to lose and that is incredible. I've written before about how, but I just want to stick to me for now. It's a part of me and through all that has come with it, it always will be.
