Nowhere
1997 | Gregg Araki | James Duval | Scott Caan | Mena Suvari | Rose McGowan | Denise Richards | dark teen films
"It's been a gnarly day. It's almost two in the morning and in the past 18 hours, I've seen four people get abducted by a space alien, watched Ducky trying to drown himself, and spent like 387 bucks on CD's at Erin's.”
Fuck man, I didn't know I needed this in my life, but hell do I need this in my life. This is like someone took a film like “Dazed and Confused” and pumped it full of acid, and it's awesome.
The cast is fantastic, the performances are great, the low budget look is perfect and the soundtrack is amazing. I love the set design and the lighting and the dialogues are excellent.
This film has literally everything: sex, love, drugs, party and fucking space aliens who abduct people and experiment on them.
Really, "Nowhere" is full of energy, fun, absurdity but also a certain depth and one of the best films that I have seen this year and due to its runtime of 78 minutes, the film is highly rewatchable. I want to see more Gregg Araki films.
