Nowhere
1997 | Gregg Araki | James Duval | Scott Caan | Mena Suvari | Rose McGowan | Denise Richards | dark teen films | best soundtracks | aliens visiting earth
I want to live in a Gregg Araki film.
It’s been a couple of months since I’d first watched “Nowhere”. It was my first film by Gregg Araki and in some way, kinda eye opening. By now, I’ve seen almost every single film of his and he’s become one of my favorite directors.
I love this film so much. My original review pretty much nails my thoughts, but everything about this is so special and so great.
I am in love with the fashion, the clothes, the hairstyles, the sets, the colors, Araki’s directing and editing style and especially the soundtrack which is one of the best soundtracks of all time! The cast is so hot and I love the performances. And I love Roscoe the alien.
I love the way Araki writes dialogues, characters, problems, life, love, passion and pain. This film is the epitome of teenage angst and I love it. The feeling, atmosphere and vibes are not only fun, entertaining and absurd, but also wholesome and sincere.
Araki is one of the all-time greats and “Nowhere” my favorite film of his. I have to rate this 5 stars. There is nothing about this film that I don’t love.
