No, it’s not out of cinemas, but i’m gonna stop here cuz otherwise i’ll never stop. I’ve seen it 10 times and not for a single bit got bored because “it was too long”. 💚🩷There is not one bad thing i can say about this movie. It’s wholesome on the level that Barbie was last year, but in the meantime the world got to heal more and Wicked is getting more recognition at the awards. The cast and crew really put their hearts in this and you can see it. 💚🩷The reason this film (just like Barbie) works so well it’s because it has everything. It has fun dance numbers, but also depressing scenes. It has comedy, but also social commentary. You feel nostalgic, but also in love. And there’s a character for everyone to see themselves in. I don’t even know what more to say, cuz nothing i write can do this movie justice, but if you didn’t like the story overall you don’t have human emotions. 💚🩷This film actually did WAY better than i thought it would. I knew the movie itself would be AMAZING and i never doubted that, but i thought that besides the theater kids and ariana fans people won’t be that obsessed with it. Especially since we all know how the general public reacts to musicals (ehem Joker FAD). But Wicked had such an impact on the world i didn’t foresee but i’m so happy that it happened. 💚🩷Y’all make fun of Cynthia and Ariana for crying so much, but i cry every time i remember we’ll get to watch “For good” in a year. A part of me will never recover from that song. Part 2 is my most anticipated movie at the moment, and i’m sure it will be the best 2025 movie. I’ve seen the stage musical, watched the film 10 times, read the book and listened to the soundtrack 1000 times but this story is always making me cry. For those who don’t know what’s coming, i’m so sorry for how crushed you will be. If you thought Part 1 was devastating, just wait til next november. 💚🩷Now i need to buy it on dvd so i have a physical copy of it and watch and sing along whenever i want AND see those deleted scenes, cuz we WILL be getting those on the dvd release, or i will personally write to Universal (it’s not the first time i’m writing to a movie studio about stuff like this so trust me i WILL do it). 💚🩷I don’t know if Wicked changed me for the better but i do believe i have been changed for good ever since the night i saw it at the Gershwin Theater. 💚🩷Until next november (and after) the only thing i’ll be doing is listen to the soudtrack, buy merch and keep dancing through life.
