Wicked

💚🩷Maybe at some point i’ll be able to watch this movie without crying when Glinda says “The Wicked Witch of the West is dead” and the flying monkeys break through the window and fly away… but that time isn’t today. 💚🩷I can’t explain it but i love the shot of Nessa’s shoes during the ball scene so much. It’s kinda pulling it all together, not just the party, but the whole movie. After all those shoes are the most important thing in the Oz timeline. Following the original story nobody cares that all these characters were friends in school, these shoes mean more than their backstories to Dorothy. 💚🩷I will not tolerate any Boq hate here! Most people hate him cuz of his looks and that’s wrong. 99% of the people who hate him online don’t even know those lyrics he sings in Part 2. 💚🩷Is Boq a nice person? Not really… but personally it’s more complicated than that. I watched the stage musical in august 2023. In the meantime i read the book (where Boq is one of the best characters) and seen this film 6 times (where he’s adorable). So yes, i’m more used to this side of his character now, but i will never forget his lines in “March Of The Witch Hunters”. 💚🩷Man i just know the second one will be completely devastating. We’ve got a full year to wait, but i’ll just be here dancing through life til it comes out
